Organic Riceberry Rice
Riceberry is a modern hybrid variety developed in Thailand from Jasmine rice (KDML105 variety) and Homnin rice. It’s known for deep-coloured black-purple grains with a naturally unique taste and rich nutritional profile.
Sweet and savoury: Riceberry has a naturally unique fragrance that’s savoury, with a slight sweet nuttiness.
High in antioxidants, rich in fibre: Riceberry rice is high in fibre, and an impressive array of 81 different antioxidants, including beta-carotene, folic acid, tannins, vitamins B1 & B2, and omega-3s.
Versatile in cooking: Popular in Thai cuisine, Riceberry is used in porridge, rice dishes, desserts, and even health drinks.
Organic Riceberry Rice Cooking Instructions
We do not recommend using an Oven, Air Fryer or Microwave for this product.
Stove/Hob
- Rinse a few times until the water is clear.
- Place 1 cup of rice in a saucepan.
- Add 8 cups of water. Bring to boil and stir occasionally.
- Reduce heat and boil gently uncovered for 25 minutes.
- Remove from heat, drain, and keep covered for 5 minutes.
Rice cooker:
- Rinse a few times until the water is clear.
- 1 cup of rice : 2 cup of water.
- Cook automatically in rice cooker. When rice cooker switches to “keep warm”, stand for 5 - 10 minutes before serving
